Raleigh title insurance agency needs a NC-licensed attorney with at least two years of experience practicing real estate law.
Understanding of title insurance and title policy issuance is required.
The position requires experience conducting title searches, preparing title opinions, reading surveys, and preparing documents utilizing SoftPro.
This position will be underwriting residential and commercial transactions, reviewing surveys, communicating with attorneys, staff, and underwriters, analyzing title documents, and preparing title insurance commitments, policies, and endorsements.
If needed, we will train the candidate to become a licensed title insurance agent.
The applicant should have the ability to navigate various register of deeds’ websites, mastery of SoftPro real estate software and the ability to prioritize tasks in a brisk environment.
Attention to detail, superior organizational skills, excellent professional communication skills, analytical ability, problem solving and the ability to work independently are required.
Prior title insurance underwriting and licensure is a definite plus.
This is a full-time, in-office position.
Compensation will be competitive and initially based on relevant experience.
We pay for relevant CLE and NC license fees.

Key Responsibilities include:
* Underwrite preliminary and final title opinions for residential and commercial transactions.
* Prepare title insurance quotes, commitments, policies, and endorsements.
* Communicate with attorneys, their staff and underwriters regarding title issues and lender requirements.
* Review surveys for applicable title matters.
* Complete ALTA endorsements for complex, commercial transactions.
* Proofread commitments, policies, and endorsements.
* Supervise staff.
Requirements include:
* 2+ year of real estate experience in closing transactions or title insurance
* North Carolina Law License
* SoftPro experience
The candidate should perform well in a small office setting, working as a team with other colleagues.
