*SUMMARY:* Under direct supervision of the IP Operations Manager and IP Department attorneys, and according to established policies and procedures, the IP Docket Manager performs a variety of administrative duties in support to the IP Department.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
• Coordinate all aspects of IP docketing for U.
S.
and international IP portfolios with a focus on all matters related to trademarks, patents, post-grant procedures and domain names, and the maintenance of same.
• Supervising, managing and training docketing staff and workflow for docketing, special projects including file intakes and exports.
• Performing second-eye review for new docketing staff.
• Preserve and audit the docket database, including entering, clearing and updating filing due dates and reminders.
• Assists docket team with related requests and questions.
• Assist with the development of technology solutions for docketing where appropriate.
• Serve as point of contact with IP Operations Manager and other firm administrative departments to meet practice group needs and objectives.
• Updates and maintains written docketing policies and procedures.
• Ensures proper communication and follow-up regarding daily deadlines.
• Monitors IP law changes impacting docketing, and ensures docketing processes are updated as necessary.
• Assist with daily docketing tasks as necessary.
• Assists with payment of annuities and confirming the accuracy of annuities payments.
• Assists with special projects and custom reports as requested by IP Department attorneys and clients.
• Other tasks as required by client requests and/or IP Department attorneys.

*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:*
1.
Minimum of 10 years of IP docketing experience.
Minimum of 3 years of IP management and supervisory experience.
Trademark experience a plus.
2.
Strong knowledge of CPI or similar IP docketing software, iManage and U.
S.
and international patent and trademark resources necessary to verify information requiring docketing.
3.
Experience managing large volume of docketing matters.
4.
Detail oriented, able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage multiple tasks.
5.
Extensive knowledge of U.
S.
and international prosecution and enforcement, as well as copyrights, domain names, copyrights, design patents, and intellectual property licensing, and the docketing requirements associated therewith.
6.
Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong organizational skills and a team player.
