Overview:
CAPTRUST is seeking a Paralegal who will provide support to our legal team in the following areas: contract drafting and review, contract database and file maintenance, corporate compliance and corporate governance matters, research, and special projects.
This position will also provide support related to the corporate equity program and the company’s acquisitions activity.
Responsibilities:
Prepare routine agreements, such as investment advisory, consulting, employment, and nondisclosure agreements
Handle information requests to and from other company personnel, including research of historical information and information from other departments; review documents and transmit information to company personnel with minimal guidance form supervising attorney
Conduct research and assist in the resolution of routine contract questions under the guidance of supervising attorney
Maintain contract template and contract management databases as well as administrative tasks, including general file management and archiving
Furnish assistance in business development transactions (maintain closing checklists, support due diligence contract review and business integration efforts)
Undertake other ad hoc projects under supervision of attorney
Assist the Legal Department in the accomplishment of company and department goals, including commitment to continuous process improvement
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of related experience
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
Paralegal Certification
Financial Services industry experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency with Docusign
Project management and database systems experience
Organization skills with a strong sense of priority, urgency, and commitment to deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively with members of other departments to support their functions
Ability to engage in strategic thinking, innovative problem solving, and finding client-focused solutions
