HR Compliance Manager AAP (Affirmative Action Program)

The Affirmative Action Compliance HR Manager plans, organizes, coordinates, implements and evaluates AAP obligations with ABB personnel in accordance to Executive Order 11246, VEVRAA, Section 503 and other applicable federal or state regulations.
This role will be open to remote candidates with a preference for those able to work in the Cary, NC office.
This position reports to Director,Regional Labor Relations and US Your responsibilities Manage the development and implementation of ABB’s 50+ affirmative action plans Monitor compliance with the plans including progress against goals, development of good faith action programs, assessment of problem areas, and review of employment transactions Collaborate with managers, HRBPs, other HR functions, Talent Acquisition, Diversity and Inclusion to collect and summarize the organizations outreach efforts for protected groups Provide outreach resources and opportunities to the business to support affirmative action efforts Lead Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program's (OFCCP) OFCCP compliance audits to include preparation of audit submission, working with HR partners, our vendor and managers Conduct compensation analysis to ensure equal pay under Directive 307 guidelines Assist ABB personnel in creating compliant solutions to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and challenges Prepare and submit data files for annual government compliance EEO-1 and VETS 4212 reporting, state reporting and ad hoc reporting requests related to compliance and government audits Collaborate with Talent Partners and People Analytics to ensure data accuracy and compliance Provide data support and reporting for ad hoc requests and projects including voluntary self-identification surveys for individuals with disabilities and veterans; and make recommendations on how data components in the Applicant Tracking System and HRIS platform Analyze, interpret, and report on trends, identify areas performing outside of expected results; and recommend additional data for review Determine methods to increase efficiency and effectiveness of reports and develop presentations and executive summaries for senior management for dissemination of annual goals and monitoring effectiveness Collaborate in developing work force measurements and analyses systems to track the representations of under-represented groups Conduct EEO/AA training Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with EEO/Affirmative Action compliance Provide analytics in support of ABB’s Diversity and Inclusion initiatives Create training programs for new managers and HR Your background Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (or significant experience in lieu of degree) 8-10 years experience as a Affirmative Action Program manager Deep knowledge of Executive Order 11246, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, VEVRAA and related EEO laws and regulations.
Strong ability to develop practical solutions for implementing and communicating Affirmative Action Plan goals and metrics Strong portfolio and project management skills with focus on delivering results Able to build partnerships with internal and external key stakeholders quickly, and strong collaboration and influencing skills Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to research and collect data from many internal and external sources and draw insights, synthesize themes, and make recommendations for relevant application to the organization Results-oriented with a strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication and advocacy skills; ability to interface and communicate effectively and diplomatically with all levels of personnel including individuals in different functions and business units Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and other MS Office applications Highly ethical, analytical, collaborative, flexible, inquisitive & logical Must maintain confidential information discreetly and protect employee privacy Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US Benefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Healthcare plan Wellbeing program More about us ABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity.
