Position Summary
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks applications for a full-time faculty position.
This position is a 12-month faculty appointment in the law school that may be tenured/tenure-track or a fixed-term appointment with expertise in any area of law.
The candidate selected for this position will also be expected to take a secondary appointment as the Director of the Law Library at the UNC School of Law.
The expected start date is July 1, 2024, although the start date is negotiable.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
A J.
D.
from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association and a graduate degree from a program accredited by the American Library Association.
Minimum of three years of experience in academic law library administration, including experience with budget and personnel matters.
Demonstrated ability to work in and contribute to a collaborative and collegial team environment.
Demonstrated understanding of the research, teaching, and educational needs of a highly productive faculty and diverse student body.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Excellent organizational, time and project management skills.
A distinguished academic record, and a record of, or the promise of, achievement as a teacher and scholar.
Applicants should be enthusiastic about participating vigorously in the life of a vibrant public university law school community.
