Position Summary
The Faculty Administrative Support Specialist works directly with faculty, staff, and students at the School of Law.
This position specializes in supporting an assigned group of Law Faculty members with a variety of administrative duties that require superior customer service with meticulous attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and competent multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment.
The Administrative Support Specialist will provide a high level of professionalism, be self-motivated, well organized, and able to work independently
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Applicants applying for this position must demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal and written), have highly developed organizational skills, and have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Zoom.
The candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills and customer service with attention to detail and discretion.
Applicants must be able to work independently as well as function successfully as part of a team, and multi-task with proficiency.
The candidate must be able to prioritize multiple and competing deadlines.
The applicant must have the ability to prepare and review information for completeness and accuracy with frequent interruptions as well as the flexibility to adapt and shift priorities.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Ideal candidate should have experience working closely with faculty, staff, and students.
The candidate should be willing to take initiative, seek guidance when needed, and see projects through to completion independently.
Editing experience preferred.
Experience working with Concur, RASR, or BOA Works finance applications is preferred.
Experience with Sakai, Microsoft Publisher, or Adobe Photoshop will be beneficial.
