The role of the contracts manager is to ensure the contracting process from development through execution of agreements for the Institutional (GPO, Hospitals, physician, Wholesale, Payer) channels/customers, are rigorously followed.
The role will serve as team lead to review contracts associated with the sale of Bioventus products.
Additionally, this individual will be responsible for reviewing contracts with external partners and ensuring alignment with company procedures and policies.
As part of this role, a successful individual will help work with the department leaders to ensure great customer/vendor relations and compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Collaboration and partnership will include all levels of management/account managers and interfaces between Finance, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Master Data.
What you'll be doing • Manage the contract lifecycle management process, including contract request, facilitating cross-functional training and communication on the contracting process, supporting contracting through process lifecycle with business requestors, tracking and managing contract requirements.
• Review multiple processes and create a proposal to consolidate and streamline Bioventus business processes and rules of engagement with Internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate approvals, signatures, notarization, and legalization of documents • Support records management program implementation and maintenance • Drafting templates and include reviews of customer’s contract language proposals and identify issues for management review.
• Reviews communications, coordinates responses, and assures effective communications between the Market Access, Master Data, Sales Operations and Legal department; compiles data and generates reports, estimates, and trend analyses.
• Provide support on all bid solicitations, language negotiations and contract renewals, and service as the contract subject matter expert.
• Perform pricing/contract risk assessment analyses of contract strategy, tactics, and contracted accounts.
• Regular data review and maintenance to ensure accuracy of contract terms and in line with organization’s strategies, policies, and applicable laws, and Identify/recommend opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain reports to effectively monitor and manage contracts performance.
• Work with IT to automate areas within the contracting process to increase effectiveness & efficiencies.
What you'll bring to the table Bachelor degree with 2-3+ years' experience in Contract Development and Lifecycle Management.
Pharmaceutical/Medical Device Industry experience preferred.
Strong contracting strategy and administration in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
Highly organized and detailed mindset.
Strong ability to articulate issues and ideas to all levels of the organization, and provide meaningful insight to support decision makers.
Must have excellent verbal communication and business writing skills.
Ability to think critically about proposed programs or process changes; determine downstream effects of changes and provide appropriate recommendations.
Ability to review an inquiry and prioritize; understanding which situations require urgency.
Demonstrate initiative by balancing multiple projects, and simultaneously prioritizing deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities.
Must demonstrate ability to work independently in a dynamic environment; self-starter who knows and understands work requirements with minimal supervision.
