Responsibilities:
In conjunction with fellow team members and legal counsel, coordinate with different departments and entities to successfully implement compliance efforts for sports betting and pari-mutuel wagering.
Assist Deputy Executive Director in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, in consultation with legal as needed.
Oversee gaming compliance personnel in audits and investigations of alleged violations of North Carolina law and/or NCSLC rules by sports betting/pari-mutuel licensees.
Regularly review sports wagering rules to ensure continual compliance with ever-changing technological advancements of the industry.
Assist in maintaining the appropriate oversight to help ensure responsible gaming.
Help manage and field consumer issues presented to NCEL and follow-up with licensees in a timely and efficient manner.
Ongoing oversight of NCSLC’s Voluntary Exclusion List, including responsibilities in the updating of the voluntary exclusion program and ensuring its secure distribution to licensed operators.
Oversee the producing of and posting of public, monthly reports of operators and totals.
Stay abreast of and communicate to operators the requirements of rules and ensuring all operators are kept informed
Recommend additional rules or policies as needed for the betterment of NCSLC.
Communicate on a regular basis with all operator’s compliance officers to assure a constant working relationship with the licensee.
Develops, implements, maintains, and monitors an effective team member relations program through effective communication.
Requirements:
Three to five years’ experience in audit or compliance environment.
Three to five years of supervisory experience.
Gaming compliance operations preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or equivalent experience.
Substitutions of similar experience in related fields will be considered.

Hiring Rate: $82,261 – $90, 000 DOE
