JOB Robert T.
Numbers, II, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of North Carolina, is accepting applications for a law clerk for a term commencing in January 2024 and concluding in August 2024.
The position will be in Raleigh, but remote candidates will be considered.
The law clerk is responsible for providing legal research and writing assistance, preparing bench memos, drafting orders and opinions on a variety of criminal and civil matters, communicating with counsel regarding case management and procedural requirements, assisting the Judge during courtroom proceedings, attending court-hosted ADR, and performing chambers administrative duties.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Applicants must be United States citizens or lawful permanent residents actively seeking citizenship.
Final candidates are subject to a background check.
Judicial Branch employees are considered "at will" employees and are not subject to the employment regulations of competitive service.
