This position will support the Legal Operations Manager.
The Assistant Legal Operations Manager is responsible for the compliance of the litigation process in the Consumer Collections practice group.
This position will also be responsible for monitoring the Consumer Collections file intake processes and claims inventory for compliance purposes.
This position provides client support and communication, quality assurance and process management of the internal litigation and intake process and related civil process, development and maintenance of compliant policy and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the overall consumer collections litigation process and staff, including suit preparation, filing, service, hearings, and final suit disposition.
Review and implement new client policies and processes.
Coordinate and manage the flow of relevant client-provided documents in connection with preparing consumer lawsuits.
Assist in assessing, coaching, implementing, and monitoring adherence to overall litigation policy and procedure in compliance with client work standards and statutory/regulatory standards.
Monitor and maintain recurring compliance training/testing for litigation operations staff in collaboration with the Compliance Manager.
Assist in developing responses to client audit findings related to legal operations.
Prepare and communicate periodic performance evaluations of litigation and operations staff.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of operational management experience, preferably in a professional or financial services operation
Knowledge of the civil litigation process preferred.
Proven ability to effectively delegate and direct team members.
Demonstrated competence in training and developing staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to analyze and problem solve.
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Effective and efficient time management skills.
