How will you make an impact?
The Contracts Specialist role for the Chemical Analysis Division (“CAD”) within Thermo Fisher Scientific constitutes a contracts professional that is responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating, finalizing, and administering all transactions related to the sale of products and services to various customers (including resellers and sales representatives) around the world.
This individual will work closely with the Commercial Team, Order Management departments, Legal, Operations and Finance departments, to coordinate consummation of transactions.
What will you do?
Review, draft and redline various types of contractual documents to facilitate compliance with corporate and regulatory policies, including without limitation NDAs, Channel Agreements, Purchase Orders, RFQs, RFPs, Sourcing Agreements, Vendor Forms, etc.
Provide contract guidance to key internal stakeholders for legal, financial, regulatory, and other business concerns identifying areas of risk.
Support and participate in process improvement projects to drive operational efficiencies and standardization such as establishing templates, standardizing playbooks, process updates, etc.
Manage and provide certificates of insurance requests.
Maintain contracts team intranet resource site.
Manage the contracts team’s general mailbox and assignments docket.
Support and assist the contracts team with contract administration activities as needed.
Ensure appropriate compliance reviews are completed including but not limited to import/export regulations and country of origin certificates.
Resolve and document customer issues in a timely manner.
Data entry and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
How will you get here?
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Paralegal, IACCM or NCMA certifications are a plus.
Experience
Minimum 2+ years of legal, contracts or subcontracts experience, preferably managing or administering contracts, education may be substituted for experience.
Advanced MS Office or Office 365 skills.
Knowledgeable in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is a plus.
