Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks a highly motivated associate to join its Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice Group in the Firm's Raleigh, NC office.
Womble’s Bankruptcy Practice is a combination of bankruptcy, insolvency and creditor’s rights.
This includes all aspects of creditors rights representation, including bankruptcy, workouts, restructurings, receiverships, collateral liquidations, commercial collections, and judgment enforcement.
Ideal candidates will have at least 2-4 years of experience in business bankruptcy, insolvency, and related litigation.
Essential Qualifications, Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare Federal and State legal documents such as pleadings (including motions, briefs, responses, complaints, etc.
), proofs of claim, summonses, and discovery related documents.
Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes.
Perform research and cite check using Lexis and Westlaw.
Conduct research and prepare information for various evidentiary hearings in federal and state court cases.
Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and depositions to support and assist other attorneys.
Handle routine calls and correspondence to and from attorneys, trustees, debtors, clients, and the Courts.
Candidates must be licensed or eligible to be immediately licensed in North Carolina.
Candidates must have excellent academic credentials and outstanding written and oral communication skills.
