Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Attorney to join our legal team in family law as a Managing Attorney.
As Managing Attorney, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, representing clients in court, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
This is a challenging role that requires strong legal knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle complex legal matters.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research using various resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of legal issues
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Conduct legal analysis and provide recommendations based on findings
- Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure legal compliance
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.
D.
) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on Family Law
- Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to conduct thorough legal research using various databases
- Proficiency in legal drafting and writing skills
- Experience with litigation and courtroom procedures
- Strong negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
