Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, PC has an opening for a Legal Support Coordinator with corporate experience in its Raleigh, NC office.
Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of legal/law firm experience; have administrative experience, exceptional communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively within a group or independently.
North Carolina civil litigation and bankruptcy knowledge is a plus.
Candidate should be proficient in MS Word (high priority), Outlook and Excel and type a minimum of 65 words per minute with high accuracy.
This position will support several attorneys.
The candidate should be detail oriented and able to work well in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
Prioritizing and executing tasks quickly and accurately
Proficiency in all aspects of filing civil actions in North Carolina State Courts
Proficiency in e-filing (Federal)
Excellent proofreading skills
Update and maintain files in a timely manner
Time entry, processing client bills, conducting client conflict checks, transcribing dictation
Maintain calendars with litigation dates and deadlines as well as other necessary dates
Reviewing vendor invoices and requesting checks for payment in a timely manner
Assisting attorneys and paralegals in preparation for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, trials
