If you're a legal professional with expertise in HR Employee Relations, we invite you to explore a position within our Employee Relations Section as an Agency Legal Consultant.
Role Overview: As an Agency Legal Consultant, you'll collaborate closely with DHHS managers to interpret and apply complex personnel and departmental policies.
You will provide comprehensive personnel services to manager and supervisors within DHHS-supported divisions.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement long and short-term goals and objectives.
Act as a legal advisor, offering legal and technical consultation to employees, supervisors, managers, directors, and HR staff on ER/HR/Policy-related legal matters.
Provide expertise in Employment Eligibility Verification, including I-9 compliance, temporary work authorization visas, E-Verify, and foreign national taxation compliance.
Conduct confidential personnel investigations, gathering relevant facts, analyzing data, and preparing comprehensive reports with findings, conclusions, and recommended actions
